Melt Away Foam Tiles Drop Out Ceiling Tile 2 feet x 4 feet x 1 inch

Melt Away Foam Tiles 2 feet x 4 feet x 1 inch are specially made to melt out of a suspended ceiling grid system. MELT AWAY TILE is Factory Mutual approved for installation below an automatic sprinkler system. Just lay the 2 x 4-foot panel in the grid. The tiles may be removed and cleaned with mild soap and water. They can be painted with a water based paint, but doing so will void the Factory Mutual approval.

Product Specifications

Long term service temperature of Melt Away  Foam TILE is 167° F. Care should be taken not to use this melt-away ceiling tile near heater vents, steam pipes, chimneys, or any other surface that has the potential of reaching 150° F or more. Melt Away Foam Tile is manufactured from modified beads, Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Board and should be considered combustible.  Melt Away  Foam Tiles have a R 3.8 Rating, R-Value is the capacity of an insulating material to resist heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power.

There are no  markings whatsoever on the tiles themselves. The boxes have a label stating the size and FM Approval.

• 24″ x 48″ x 1″ Melt Away Foam Tile is packaged 12 pieces per carton covering 96 SF per carton. Minimum Order 2 cartons.
• Large Orders of 24″ x 48″ x 1″ 35 pieces per stretch-wrapped bundle or larger for pallet shipments.
• Full pallet consist of 14 Cartons.
• Please note 2’x4′ actual measured size is 1″ x 23-3/4″ x 47-3/4″ to fit in 2′ x 4′ grid.
• Freight Carrier Quote based on delivery location having accessible location with loading dock.
• Four (4) cartons or more shipped on pallet.
• Product Sold in Multiples or Groups of even cartons such as 2 cartons, 4 cartons, 6 cartons, etc, to reduce possibility of damage.
